Food & Drink

The small and intimate Le Langue d’Oc on Meensesteenweg is the pefect restaurant for a cosy romantic dinner, which, as the name suggests, specialises in dishes from the Languedoc region in the south of France. Favourites on the menu include foie gras, grilled lobster and bourride sétoise, a monkfish stew flavoured with herbs and served with aioli (garlic mayonnaise).

Chess Café on Havermarkt is an eclectic combination of Asian wok restaurant, live jazz venue and club and it’s great for a lively night out.

For something a little more upmarket and sophisticated, try the Beluga Restaurant on Graanmarkt. It has a sleek, modern interior and a menu to match. Dine inside in the spacious and stylish glass and granite surroundings, or enjoy the a meal in the sunshine on the outdoor terrace.
